Our Story
It started in a college dorm room.
One of our founders was a junior studying communications. Smart, capable, genuinely good at thinking — but every time an essay deadline hit, the same thing happened: a blank document, a blinking cursor, and two hours of nothing.
It was not a lack of ideas. It was the wall. That invisible barrier between having something to say and actually saying it.
He built a rough tool to help himself get started — just a simple AI prompt interface that would kick-start the first paragraph. He shared it with three classmates. Then ten. Then it spread to a Reddit thread, and within a week, over two thousand people had used it.
That was the moment we knew this was worth building properly.
We came together as a team — engineers, a UX designer, and a former English teacher — and launched EssayEditor.com with one goal: give every student and writer the push they need to get past that blank page.
